The Desert Journey

8 days · Marrakech · Atlas · Aït Ben Haddou · Fint Oasis · Erg Chigaga

8 days · Marrakech · Atlas · Aït Ben Haddou · Fint Oasis · Erg Chigaga

A route to discover some of the landscapes that make southern Morocco special, and to end the journey where everything falls silent: Erg Chigaga.

Marrakech, the High Atlas, kasbahs, oases and southern roads before we head into the Sahara for two nights.

A good choice for those who want to get to know Morocco and experience the desert in a single trip, without trying to see everything.

Arrive and begin to look

Arrival in Marrakech and welcome.

A first day to rest, adjust to the rhythm of the country and begin discovering the city.

DAY 2 · Marrakech

The red city

A day to get to know Marrakech at your own pace.

We can explore the medina, its markets and craftspeople, visit some of its most emblematic places or set aside time for a hammam, food experiences or simply strolling.

Crossing the Atlas

We leave Marrakech behind and cross the High Atlas.

The landscape changes little by little until we reach the south.

We will visit Aït Ben Haddou, one of the best-known kasbahs in Morocco, with time to walk its streets and take in the landscape.

DAY 4 · Aït Ben Haddou → Erg Chigaga

Towards the Sahara

We continue south through kasbahs, adobe villages, palm groves and increasingly arid landscapes.

After reaching M'Hamid, we leave the tarmac behind.

We climb into the 4x4s and begin crossing the tracks that lead to Erg Chigaga.

The horizon opens up. And the journey changes pace.

A day without hurry

Today there is nowhere to get to.

Sunrise among the dunes, breakfast, tea, walking on the sand, resting, learning about Saharan traditions or simply contemplating the landscape.

We can prepare bread baked under the sand, spend time with the team, enjoy henna or discover Saharan music as evening falls.

And when night comes: dinner, fire, stars and silence.

DAY 6 · Erg Chigaga → Fint Oasis

From the dunes to the oasis

We leave the desert behind and begin the journey back north.

The landscape transforms again. The sand gives way to oases, palm groves and kasbahs.

We arrive at the Fint Oasis, a small valley hidden among mountains. Time to walk, have a tea and rest.
