First, we find our bearings
We arrive in Marrakech and take time to land.
Without starting at a run. A first day to rest, stroll through the medina and begin to settle into the rhythm of Morocco.

10 days · Marrakech · Fint Oasis · Drâa Valley · Erg Chigaga · Aït Ben Haddou
There is a way of getting to know Morocco that does not appear on a list of places.
It lies in sharing a tea with a family, walking among palm groves, entering a market, learning about a craft, listening to music around the fire or sitting down to talk without looking at the clock.
The Nomad Route was created to get closer to that Morocco.
A journey through the south, between oases, palm groves, markets, local families and the dunes of Erg Chigaga.

We arrive in Marrakech and take time to land.
Without starting at a run. A first day to rest, stroll through the medina and begin to settle into the rhythm of Morocco.

An unhurried morning to keep discovering the city.
Strolling, stopping at a market, tasting its flavours and settling further into the rhythm of Morocco.

We leave Marrakech and cross the Atlas towards the south.
The landscape grows more arid and the first palm trees, kasbahs and small communities appear.
We arrive at the Fint Oasis, a small oasis surrounded by rock and vegetation. Here another part of the journey begins.

Today we are not here simply to visit. We are here to share.
We take a walk through the oasis and meet a local family. We eat together, share a tea and get closer to some of their traditions.
We also discover henna and learn a little more about the lives of the people who live in this land.

We continue to the Drâa Valley.
A landscape of great palm groves, kasbahs and villages that follow the course of the river. We visit a local market and get close to everyday life in this region.
Here the landscape is not just beautiful. It is the way of life of the people who live in it.

From Zagora we continue towards the desert. We enter by 4x4 and leave behind the last signs of urban life.
The landscape opens up. The dunes appear. Erg Chigaga.

There is time to walk among the dunes, rest, share a tea and learn about some of the traditions of the Sahara.
Bread under the sand. Turbans. Henna. Saharan music. Fire. And a night sky that seems never to end.
There is no need to fill the time here.

We leave the Sahara behind and begin the journey back.
The landscape changes again. From the desert we return to the mountains, villages and kasbahs.
We arrive at Aït Ben Haddou, where we spend our last night in the south.

We cross the Atlas again. The landscape changes one last time as we near Marrakech.
We spend the last night in Marrakech or its surroundings, depending on the flight time. One last night to rest before heading home.

Breakfast and transfer to the airport.
You take home photographs, flavours, conversations and memories. But above all, a different view of southern Morocco.
We can adapt the route, the length, the accommodation and the experiences to your time, interests and way of travelling.
